Here’s some big news you may have missed- the local constitution of our City, the New York City Charter, is being reviewed for possible revisions. In fact, a commission has been formed by the City Council and the Borough Presidents to conduct a more-expansive view than the Charter Commission Mayor de Blasio formed last year. You may remember that the three items on the second page of your November Ballot dealt with these revisions.
There are many ways to influence change in our communities and within our government so after speaking with several Commissioners, I decided to submit my thoughts. Please click this link below to review the suggestions I have submitted to the Charter Commission for their review.
As always, feel free to tell me what you think by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can learn more about the Charter Commission by visiting this website- http://www.charter2019.nyc/faqs.
